Karen will personally guide you through the simple process and provide advice where needed. After an initial chat where we discuss the finish you are looking for fabric samples will be sent to you. Once you have made your decision to go ahead we will ask for a deposit to book you in and get the fabric ordered. 

We fully strip and restore the wood according to your choosing and depending on how the wood looks once stripped there are lots of options from light to dark oak, walnut, rich brown, with clear, French or warmer toned button polish. You can also have a modern semi matt natural finish too. French polish can be finished will a high shine and wax or a more matt finish when waxed. They can also be finished in a beautiful glossy black polish or again made more matt. If you are trying to tone in with other wood in your house this is something we do regularly we just need pictures. All chairs will vary in wood finish depending how the wood was cut and how it absorbs the stain and polish so we cannot guarantee an exact colour match but we can make them tone in with your other furniture. All frames will vary when stripped so they will naturally dictate their own finish, some need a little warmth to even out the tone and we will advise you to achieve the best aesthetic results..

We use traditional methods for wood restoration hand polishing with badger hair brushes, mops and professional products taking weeks to give a natural professional finish, not a plastic spray finish in sight. As with all furniture of a certain age there will be signs of it's age which will add to the character and give a patina to the wood. These chairs are around 90 years old and do have small variances they aren't perfect like new chairs they are antiques also varying slightly depending who made them for Jindrich because he had several companies producing his highly sought-after designs.

The chair seats and backs are fully stripped too, even if there are several old covers we go right back to the bones, thoroughly restoring them. Springs are checked, anything that needs tightening is addressed before everything is put back together with extra fresh interior products added to plump them back up. Measurements will vary slightly between chairs and increase after restoration. 

Once the work is complete you will receive photographs of your chairs with your final invoice and delivery will be arranged
